Race Morning Information
All runners must check-in between 6:45 AM and 7:45 AM race morning at the Santos Meadows start area. Bib numbers will be available at check-in.
There will be parking at the start/finish area; carpooling is strongly recommended. No parking will be allowed along Muir Woods Road. Volunteers will be at the start to assist with parking.

Directions to Santos Meadows in Muir Beach
From San Francisco: Take Golden Gate Bridge and Highway 101 North.
From East Bay: Take Richmond Bridge and Highway 101 South.
From North: Take Highway 101 South.
To Santos Meadows
Distances are measured from the first traffic light after exiting 101 from North or South (Fireside Motel on left).
Exit off Highway 101 at Stinson Beach/Hwy 1 exit. At first traffic light, proceed on Highway 1 North (Shoreline Highway) toward Stinson Beach.
At .5 miles (Arco Station on left), turn left at traffic light (Tamalpais Junction), continuing on Highway 1/Shoreline Highway toward Stinson Beach
and Mt Tamalpais. At 3 miles, bear left remaining on Shoreline Highway toward Stinson Beach. (Do not take Panoramic Highway which heads uphill to the
right.) At 5.5 miles, continue straight on Highway 1 towards Stinson Beach and Muir Woods. Pacific Way and the Pelican Inn will be on your left. At 5.7 miles,
Highway 1 bends left toward Stinson Beach; instead head straight on Muir Woods Road toward Muir Woods. At 6.5 miles, turn left through a gate into Santos Meadow
(Mount Tamalpais State Park).
Running the Race
Numbers must be worn on the front and visible at the aid stations for check-in. If you drop out of the race, please stop at one of the aid stations and let a race official know that you do not plan to continue.
Aid stations with water, GU fluids, and other food items such as bananas, PB&J, M&M's, cookies, and other snacks will be available on the course.
The finishing time cutoff is 10 hours (6 PM). See the Course information for aid station cutoff times.
Finisher Awards
All registered runners will receive our specially designed Headlands 50K T-shirt and a goody bag. Our T-shirts are created by renowned artist and friend Nick Wilton. Late entrants will receive T-shirts depending on availability.
Prize Money and Age Group Awards
Prize Money will be awarded as follows:
$200 to 1st place male and female overall
$125 to 2nd place male and female overall
$75 to 3rd place male and female overall
Age group awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in the:
Masters Division - 40 to 49 years old
Seniors Division - 50 to 59 years old
Super Seniors Division - 60 to 69 years old
Veterans Division - 70+
Post Race Party
After the race there will be food and drinks at Santos Meadows. Family and friends are welcome to join in the post-race celebration.
